Earth Science is developed around the 2019 MN Earth Science standards. Students will build a foundation of scientific skills including scientific inquiry, measuring in science, science lab processes, and developing evidence-based claims. An emphasis is placed on phenomena based instruction by developing and using models, analyzing and interpreting data, constructing explanations and designing solutions, and evaluating and communicating information. Topics of study include weather, climate & water cycling, plate tectonics & rock cycling, natural hazards and earth in space. This course will help prepare students to be knowledgeable stewards of the Earth.
