Kindergarten orientation gives you and your child a sneak peek at school.

Families are encouraged to attend kindergarten orientation along with their soon-to-be kindergarten student. Orientation is held in the spring prior to the start of kindergarten. The event allows children to spend some time in the kindergarten classroom with a teacher, while their grown-ups learn more about the program from the principal and support staff.

Things To Do Before The First Day of Kindergarten

  • Make sure your child's immunizations are up-to-date or waivers are signed.
  • Make sure your child has had a School Health Examination/Physical.
  • If you haven't done so already, submit the School Health Examination Form (to be completed by your child's doctor) and a Student Immunization Form to your child's school at least one week prior to the start of school. These forms must be submitted before your child will be allowed to attend school.
  • If you haven't done so already, make an appointment for an Early Childhood Screening which is required by the state in order to start kindergarten. Make an appointment here
