A one of a kind logo

Below are district-approved designs of the Stillwater Area Public Schools' Pony logo and "Stillwater Area Public Schools" text. If an individual or organization is searching for a different file type (such as .ai or .eps), please email Jennifer Paulson at paulsonj@stillwaterschools.org.

This logo may not be doctored or modified in any way and cannot be used as an endorsement or promotion without school district approval.

As part of the district's efforts to be more environmentally friendly, approved community flyers are distributed to families through Peachjar. Approved flyers are emailed to families weekly as an embedded image, not a link. This means families immediately see the flyer and are able to click through to a specific website for more information or to register for an event. 

Flyers must meet criteria according to district distribution and the classes, events, or activities must take place within the boundaries of the Stillwater Area Public School District. 

Flyers must be submitted for approval by Wednesday at 12 p.m. CT for email delivery on Friday. Visit www.peachjar.com

• Go to the "Community Organizations" tab at the top, and select the "How It Works" button.
• Read the steps and click on the "Get Started Now" button, which guides the registration process.
• Upload event information for consideration.

All materials uploaded to Peachjar are automatically submitted to the Communications Office. A designee reviews materials and approves or denies based on the criteria above. Paper flyers are not distributed with the exception of the Boy Scouts and other Title 36 youth groups. Those organizations must drop off their preprinted flyers to the Central Services Building for approval and distribution.

NOTE: If an organization offers free services to students and families, they are able to post district-approved flyers for free. Organizations must call Peachjar at 858-997-2117x130 to create a free account. If families are charged for activities, Peachjar charges a fee for the distribution service.

* The Boy Scouts of America Equal Access Act, 20 USC 7905, provides essentially that any school receiving federal support is required to provide Scouting and any Title 36 youth organization the same access to school facilities as any other patriotic organization. 

There are many wonderful things happening in classrooms every day — stories we want to share with the greater community. But too many go by without anyone knowing they ever happened. We want to change that!

So, what makes a good story?

• Specific school, department/grade or classroom activities that differ from a “regular” school day. Are your students doing a hands-on project? Are they working in groups? Are they using technology? Is there participation from parents, community members or guest speakers?
• Use of new equipment or technology designed to enhance student learning
• Specialized training for teachers or students (conferences, workshops, etc.)
• Human interest stories involving students, staff and/or family members
• Has one of your students overcome an obstacle to find success? Has a special teacher made a real difference in the life of your child? Did a staff member go out of his/her way to give our students a better educational experience? Is your class or club collaborating to support a worthy cause?
• Outstanding student or staff achievement/recognition
• Creating a new academic or extracurricular program
• Events that benefit or are of interest to the community

When in doubt tell us anyway by completing the form below. Please provide as much information as possible; if we need more details, someone from the communications office will reach out. Some stories will be shared with local media outlets (print, radio and TV), as well as published on our district website and/or shared through other district channels (Facebook, Instagram, Community Connections mailer). Exceptional story ideas will be considered for video features and district and/or school newsletters.

Who: First and last names of the people involved (students, staff, notable guests); for entire classes or grades, “Mrs. Smith’s class” or “the 5th grade” will suffice.
What: Describe your story with specific details
Why: How did this come about
Where: For upcoming events; please provide exact location, including school and room number
When: For upcoming events; please include date and start/end times

Photo and/or Video: Please submit a clear, non-blurry photo and/or video clip. (10 MB Max)  Make sure you have permission to share the image from the people in the photos as well as the photographer.

The Community Connections newsletter is mailed to all residents and businesses within the district's boundaries several times throughout each school year.
