Public Data Requests

The school district recognizes its responsibility relative to the collection, maintenance, and dissemination of public data as provided in state statutes.
The school district will comply with the requirements of the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minn. Stat. Ch. 13 (MGDPA), and Minn. Rules Parts 1205.0100-1205.2000 in responding to requests for public data.

Submit A Public Data Request

Required

  1. Please complete the following form to submit a request for public data.
  2. Confirmation of your request will be completed within 2 business days or as soon as practicable.   
  3. The requestor’s contact information (phone number, address, or email address) is required.  Clarification about the request may be needed before the district may provide a response. 
  4. Requestor of summary data will be informed within 10 business days of the receipt of a request of the following:
    • The estimated costs of preparing the summary data, if any; and
    • The summary data requested; or
    • The expected date the summary data will be available and reasons for delay; or
    • Reason why the data is not available.

  5. The district will strive to respond to all requests in a timely manner.  The school district’s response time may be affected by: the size and complexity of the particular request; redactions of the data, as required; and the volume of requests made within a particular period of time.
