Equity And Inclusion In Our Schools
Acknowledgement
Stillwater Area Schools are built on the traditional lands of the Wahpekute Dakota people – land that has also provided spiritual and physical meaning for Ojibwe, Ho Chunk, Winnebago, and other native communities. We acknowledge and honor indigenous people, their descendants, and the land we live, learn and grow on.

At Stillwater Area Public Schools, we are committed to fostering a safe and welcoming environment for all students and staff. Equity and inclusion is really about improving access and belonging for anyone who enters our buildings. This work is essential in creating spaces where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
Our Beliefs
Our work is grounded in the following core beliefs:
- Everyone belongs.
- Everyone has a voice.
- All students deserve an excellent education.
- The whole child matters.
- Curiosity thrives here.
Our Commitment
We strive to ensure that every student has access to high-quality learning opportunities and resources that meet their unique needs. By actively identifying and addressing disparities, we aim to remove barriers to success and build a culture of belonging for all.
