2026-27 SAHS Bell Schedule & Block Calendar

Introducing Our New Block Schedule

Beginning this fall, SAHS will transition to a 7-period format that primarily operates on a block schedule. This new schedule was designed to provide students with more learning opportunities and individualized support while creating longer class periods for deeper learning, hands-on activities, labs, and discussions.

Here's how the schedule will work:

• Odd Days: Students attend Periods 1, 3, 5, and 7.
• Even Days: Students attend Periods 2, 4, and 6, along with additional flexible learning time.
• All Days: Students attend all seven class periods.

In a typical 5-day week, students will have 2 ODD days, 2 EVEN days, and one ALL day. During shortened school weeks, the calendar will be adjusted to maintain a balanced number of Odd and Even days throughout the year. The longer class periods on odd and even days allow students and teachers more time to engage with course content while reducing the number of daily transitions between classes.

We are excited about the opportunities this schedule provides for our students. In addition to creating a more engaging learning experience, the new schedule expands course opportunities, allowing students to take more elective courses during their four years of high school while continuing to access rigorous academic programs, career pathways, and college credit opportunities.
