2027-2028 Calendar Approved

At the school board meeting on Dec. 16, 2025, the board voted to approve the 2027-28 academic school calendar. This calendar represents the final year of the three year pilot of an early start and early end calendar. The goal of the calendar is to align the end of quarters with natural breaks in an effort to help address social and emotional concerns of students and staff. This calendar also builds in more time for staff development and teacher collaboration, with a goal of strengthening instruction to improve achievement. 

The 2025–26 school year marked the first implementation of earlier start and end dates. As the year progresses, district administrators will measure its impact on mental health outcomes and academic achievement through surveys and data analysis.
