Governor Walz visits our summer programming
Students in the Extended School Year (ESY) program had a special guest today. Governor Tim Walz visited their summer classrooms at Oak-Land Middle School. ESY is designed to support special education students in retaining skills that they have learned as part of their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Student Liam Chau always dresses for success, wearing a blazer to school every day. In honor of the VIP guest, Liam added a bow tie, slacks and fancy shoes to his ensemble. Liam's spiffy outfit even caught the Governor's eye.
