Middle School Sports: What to Expect for Next Fall

Middle School Sports: What to Expect for Next Fall
Middle School Sports: What to Expect for Next Fall

Beginning in the 2026–27 school year, middle school sports will be managed by our Community Education department. This change allows us to continue offering our high-quality middle school sports program while ensuring it is financially sustainable for the future.

What will remain the same

  • We’ll continue to offer the same sports programs
  • Coaching staff and activities coordinator will remain in place
  • Transportation will continue to be provided
  • Students will participate as part of the school community
  • Families will utilize the same registration process through their middle schools

What will change
Families will notice an increase in participation fees next year. This change reflects the actual cost of operating the program.

We anticipate participation fees will be $200 per sport. Reduced fees will continue to be available for families who qualify for educational benefits.

We’re still working to find ways to lower the cost to families, if possible, by exploring partnerships with community organizations and cities. Participation fees will be finalized later this summer, and additional information will be shared prior to registration in mid-July.
