Partnership Plan Awards 12 Spring Classroom Grants

STILLWATER, Minn. -- March 7, 2024 -- Adding to its 2023-24 initiatives for Stillwater Area Public Schools, The Partnership Plan announced 12 new Spring Classroom Grants.

Bringing the total number of classroom enrichment initiatives to 25 for the 2023-24 school year, The Partnership has increased funding by nearly $30,000 in the district. These grants support a wide range of projects, from Maker's Labs at secondary schools, to dance instruction at the St. Croix Valley Area Learning Center, and multicultural cooking classes at Brookview Elementary.

A full list and brief description of all awarded grants can be found on The Partnership Plan website.

As the educational foundation for Stillwater Area Public Schools, The Partnership Plan supports classroom enrichment beyond the financial means of District 834. Twice a year, the foundation invites teachers to apply for grants that creatively enhance learning opportunities for their students.

The Partnership Plan's impact goes far beyond the confines of classroom grants - it fuels district-wide initiatives that enrich students' lives. Through these experiences, every fourth grader enjoys a trip to Orchestra Hall to prepare for band and orchestra in fifth grade, while all fifth graders dive into theater with a week-long residency program in the spring. Mental health receives focused attention through multiple grants at all grade levels, and The Partnership Plan even supports the Pathways Program at Stillwater Area High School, aiming to help students find their right pathway post-high school. The Partnership Plan goes beyond the classroom to ignite passion and expand horizons for Stillwater students.

As the premiere science, art, upcycling, and film fair of the year, The Partnership Plan also sponsors DaVinci Fest to celebrate the academic talents of Stillwater-area students. The most recent 2024 event held on Jan. 27 at Stillwater Area High School, drew nearly 2,000 attendees for the all-day celebration.
