ST. PAUL, Minn. – March 1, 2025 – After defeating Hill-Murray in the Section 4AA Championship, the No. 2 Stillwater Area High School boys hockey program faces No. 7 Andover in the Minnesota State Tournament quarterfinal. The Ponies take on the Huskies at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 6 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
Stillwater’s ticket allotment becomes available for students and fans at 7:20 p.m. on Monday, March 3. Students and families should watch for an email on Monday evening that includes:
- A URL link to the tournament ticket website.
- A code to purchase tickets: Please do not share the code with others outside of the Stillwater community. This code is intended for Pony students and fans only.
The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) provides an allotment of tickets to each school that has qualified for the tournament. There is an eight ticket limit per person, however the MSHSL recommends students, families, and fans to purchase their own individual tickets from the website. Fans are highly encouraged to have a Ticketmaster account created and set up on a computer or mobile device with a credit card ready to purchase when the ticket window opens.
Tickets in the 100 and club levels are $20 each, while tickets in the 200 upper level are $13 for students and $20 for adults. With limited seat availability, section 124 is intended for high school senior students only, while sections 226-230 are available to all students.
The SAHS Activities Office is not distributing any tickets, as all purchases must be made through the MSHSL Ticketmaster link.
High School Student Fan Bus
200 seats are available for Stillwater Area High School students to ride a fan bus from SAHS to and from Xcel Energy Center for $10 per student. The bus leaves from SAHS at 9:45 a.m. after second period classes and departs Xcel Energy Center 30 minutes following the conclusion of Stillwater’s game. Tickets to ride the student fan bus are on sale now until sold out or 10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5.
HomeTown Ticketing Student Fan Bus Tickets
Students are required to show that they have a State Tournament ticket as they board the fan bus, as the bus is only for students attending the game. Students are also reminded that there is a “no bag policy” at Xcel Energy Center and should not bring backpacks or other bags on the fan bus or to the arena. There are no refunds for fan bus tickets.
Reporting Absences
Any student attending Thursday’s quarterfinal game receives an excused absence from school and all absences should be reported through PowerSchool. Please do not call the SAHS main office as there are limited secretarial staff to handle the volume of phone calls.
