Stillwater student-athletes sign college commitments
PONY ACTIVITY CENTER – A record of 21 Stillwater Area High School students signed National Letters of Intent on Nov. 8 as they join Division I or Division II programs to further their education and athletic careers.
The morning celebrated student-athletes from nine different sports, showcasing the depth of Stillwater athletic programs. Teams, students, and parents gathered at the Pony Activity Center to witness the official commitments as the future grads go on to represent the Ponies in nine different states across 19 colleges and universities.
Of the group, eight are going on to compete at the Division I level, while five student-athletes from the girls lacrosse team and four from girls hockey led team representation.

A National Letter of Intent is a binding agreement between a prospective student-athlete and an NLI member institution with the commitment that the institution provides financial aid for one academic year. The Nov. 8 official signing day is held for all sports outside of football, with football’s early signing beginning Dec. 20, followed by the regular signing period on Feb. 7, 2024.
