The Pony Express student newspaper earns national and state recognition
Student journalists from Stillwater Area High School won numerous awards at the Minnesota High School Press Association’s (MHSPA) State Convention. The Pony Express newspaper was awarded International First Place from Quill and Scroll. Only 15 schools in the country earned the honor. This is the 18th time The Pony Express has won the award.
The newspaper was also recognized by the Journalism Educators of Minnesota as among the best, winning All State Gold in the newspaper and website category, as well as Best of Show 2nd place in print and Best of Show 5th place for website.
Stillwater students earned 10 individual MHSPA Gold Medallion Awards:
