Parent and Family Engagement

Stillwater Area Public Schools believes that strong partnerships between families and schools are essential to student success. Parents and guardians are encouraged to take an active role in their child's education by maintaining regular communication with school staff and participating in school activities whenever possible.

Families can support student success by:

  • Participating in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
  • Monitoring student progress through district communication tools.
  • Encouraging regular attendance and good study habits.
  • Reading with and talking to their child about school and learning.
  • Communicating with teachers and school staff when questions or concerns arise.
  • Volunteering at school or participating in parent organizations and advisory groups.

The district provides a variety of opportunities for families to stay informed and engaged through school newsletters, district communications, conferences, websites, and parent portals.

Families interested in volunteering should contact their child's school. Volunteers and visitors are required to follow district visitor procedures, including check-in requirements and any applicable background screening.
