Stillwater Area Public Schools provides safe and efficient transportation for eligible students in accordance with Minnesota law and district policy.
Transportation Eligibility
Transportation is generally available for:
- Students in grades PreK–5 who live more than one-half mile from their assigned school.
- Students in grades 6–12 who live more than two miles from their assigned school.
- Students who qualify for transportation due to hazardous walking conditions or other circumstances as provided by law or district policy.
Eligibility, transportation boundaries, and transportation options may vary depending on a student's enrollment status and program.
Student Expectations
Riding the school bus is a privilege. Students are expected to follow all bus safety rules, directions from the driver, and district expectations for student conduct. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action or the loss of transportation privileges in accordance with district policy.
