1/23/20 Work Session
Meeting Notes
School board members held a learning session to learn more about the district’s Achievement & Integration program. The district receives funding from the state of Minnesota to support voluntary integration and provide opportunities for professional learning, family and community engagement, college and career readiness and student programming. A few highlights of the district’s plan include AVID programming, which helps prepare students for college; engagement with Native American, Latino and Muslim families and students; and cross-district programming. The plan will come to the school board on Feb. 6 for a first reading, and again for board action on Feb. 20. A final plan must be submitted to the state by March 15, 2020.
