Meeting Notes
The following is an informal summary of the meeting.
At the start of the meeting, the school board recognized the high school’s TRUST Club and Unified Physical Education class. TRUST Club is a unique opportunity for students with and without disabilities to work through educational and physical activities and come together on equal terms through ongoing social, sports, wellness, fitness and leadership activities. The students recently earned second place in the state’s unified basketball tournament and also participated in the Polar Plunge.
Report for Information: Auditor Services
The board reviewed written proposals from four certified public accounting firms to audit its financial statements for fiscal year ending June 30, 2020. The district’s finance and operations working group is recommending the district approve Clifton, Larson, Allen, LLP as the district auditor. The item will be brought back for action at the March 19 board meeting.
Report for Information: Policy Second Readings
The school board reviewed several policies as part of a second reading, including Policy 101 – Legal Status of School District; Policy 101.1 – Name of the School District; Policy 102 – Equal Educational Opportunity; Policy 103 – Complaints-Students, Employees, Parents, Other People; and Policy 104 – School District Mission Statement. The policies will be brought back for a final reading and action at a future meeting.
