School Board Meeting Notes
The following is an unofficial summary of the meeting.
At the start of the meeting the school board recognized students Addie Foote and Claire Abbott who won 2nd place in Project Green Challenge, an international sustainability competition. Claire and Addie spearheaded two efforts: the first: to advocate for Stillwater High School to transform into a greener, solar producing high school, and the second: to educate students on energy consumption and conservation.
The board also recognized a group of students from Stillwater Area High School who placed 2nd in an international engineering competition put on by NASA. Teams from around the world participated in the 27th annual Human Exploration Rover Challenge (HERC). They spent eight months designing, building and testing a human-powered rover on a course that simulates the terrain found on rocky bodies in the solar system.

School board members reviewed recent contracts for goods and services equaling less than $50,000.
Report for Information: Second Policy Reading (721)
School board members reviewed Policy 721 Uniform Grant Guidance Policy Regarding Federal Revenue Sources. The revised policy was previously SR 1.26. The policy will come back for a final reading and action at a future meeting.
Closed Session
The school board held a closed session following the meeting pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 13D.05, subdivision 3, to review confidential or protected nonpublic appraisal data on real property located at 10158 122nd St N, Hugo, MN 55038 (the former Withrow Elementary School property).
