Meeting Notes
The following is an informal summary of the meeting.
The school board held a short meeting on the morning of July 9 to approve the consent agenda, which included the disbursement register and the Human Resources Personnel Report, in order to keep business moving over the summer months.
As part of the consent agenda, the board also approved a resolution establishing filing dates for persons interested in running for a 4 year school board term in the November 3, 2020 General Election. Affidavits of candidacy must be filed with the school district clerk between July 28 and August 11.
During the meeting, board member Mark Burns announced his resignation from the board. July 23 will be the final meeting for both Burns and Shelley Pearson, who also announced her resignation last month. The board will hold a special meeting on Monday, July 13 to discuss how to temporarily fill the two positions until a special election can be held in November to elect individuals to fill the final two years of their terms.
