School Board Meeting Notes

Action Item:  Bus Garage Restroom Project 
School board members voted 6-1 to approve construction bids for the addition of restrooms at the district’s Bus Garage in Lake Elmo. The total cost of the project is approximately $280,000 and will be funded by the district’s capital budget.

Action Item: Stillwater Middle School Resource Officer (SRO) Contract 
School board members voted 7-0 to approve a new service agreement with the City of Stillwater to provide a full-time School Resource Officer (SRO) at Stillwater Middle School. This agreement will be in effect for the next 3 school years. Similar agreements are in place with Washington County and the city of Oak Park Heights to provide SRO services at Oak-Land Middle and the high school. The SROs are paid for with Safe Schools funding.

School board members voted 6-1 to approve Policy 206 Public Participation in School Board Meetings and Data Privacy Considerations.

Action Item: Approve Policy 207– Public Hearings 
School board members voted 6-1 to approve Policy 207 Public Hearings.

Report for Information: First Reading Policy 905 - Advertising
School board members reviewed Policy 905 Advertising as part of a first reading. The policy will come back for a second reading at a future meeting.

The school board adjourned to closed session pursuant to Minnesota Statutes § 13D.05, Subd. 2(b), for consideration of preliminary allegations of an individual subject to school board authority and pursuant to Minnesota Statutes § 13D.05, Subd. 2(b), for a confidential attorney-client privileges.
