Early Childhood Screening
Turning 3? Now's the time to screen.
As your child takes that step from toddler to preschooler, it’s the right time to take part in a FREE screening of their development. Early Childhood Screening is a simple check of how your child is growing, developing and learning. State law requires children to be screened, and screening early is best so that any health or development concerns can be addressed right away.

This option starts with forms being sent to the parent/guardian to complete and return electronically or by mail. After returning the required paperwork, a screener will schedule a phone or Zoom summary meeting with just the parent/guardian. Vision and hearing are not checked in virtual screening. Request forms or email email@example.com.
What to expect during screening:
Your child will complete developmental activities with a trained professional to see if they’re meeting important milestones specific to their age. They’ll check:
- Vision and hearing
- Height and weight
- Large and small muscles
- Thinking, language and communication skills
- Social and emotional development
If any issues are identified, we’ll work with you to get the support you need.
Appointments typically take an hour. We offer both in-person and virtual screening options.
